Is this a decent electric fan choice?

Has the right CFM at 2670 and have heard of the brand as they have been around for a few years. Dont know any more than that about the company as they dont sell over here.
Just make sure that you fill in the gap between the shroud and fan diameter so it sucks from all over the area the the shroud covers.

Kinda seal the internal edges of the shroud you mean, so the only opening is for the fan? So the fan can only draw air through the rad right?

Exactly. You want to keep the airflow pulled (or pushed) straight through because otherwise it will reduce efficiency pretty drastically.

You might want to call the manufacturer and tell them how you're going to use the fan. I installed a flex-a-lite 110 and when on washboard roads, the fan tilted off its axis, broke a fin, and shorted out. Installed another one with lots of shock absorbing grommets and it did the same thing. I talked to the flex a lite rep at a truck show and he said that a lot of people use flex a lite fans for off road, but the fans are mainly designed and tested on street cars.
