ZJ D44 disks on an XJ D44?

Like the title says - while I know that the ZJ D44 uses a crappy aluminum center section, what about the disks? Are the axles stll the same length to allow a fairly painless swap from a '98 ZJ D44 to an 87 XJ D44 to get disks? Any other stumbling blocks?

check the Technical Files on madxj.com, there's a great write-up on that exact thing. There's some work involved, but nothing "major".

Do a search on this forum too. There should be more info on here to help you out. The madXJ link is what I used to do mine, and it worked out very well.
