"Paint OK" sticker on quarter panel near computer?

This evening, I saw a little blue sticker that said "Paint OK" on the quarter panel under the edge of the hood, near where my engine computer is. Is this something that came from the factory, or does it mean the quarter panel was damaged (a la wrecked) and had to be repainted?

My TJ had a few of those on it too (I bought the TJ new). I figured it was a quality contol thing from the factory.

That's what I was thinking (and hoping too).

My '00 was bought new... and I ORDERED it, so it was only three days off the line when I took delivery. And I have the stickers.

I think "paint OK" is Toledo Jeep's version of "paint good".... aka, "ok" is as good as it gets! :-(
