P0485 Cooling Fan Power/Ground Circuit Malfunction

I have a 2000 Cherokee with 37k miles and the OBDII code is giving out an "P0485 Cooling Fan Power/Ground Circuit Malfunction". I've searched the web without any success for an answer. Does any one have any practical knowledge with what this might mean ? I'm thinking it might mean that the relay that controls the electric fan may be toast.

Update: Replaced the aux fan relay, after a couple of warm-up/drive cycles the error went away.
