Colorado Chapter meeting November 13, 2004

The Fourth Quarterly meeting was held at Faricy Brothers Jeep in Colorado Springs. This meeting seemed to serve a dual purpose as a meeting and as an event. Special Thanks goes out to Mile High Jeep Club for the generous use of their RTI ramp! And also to Jeff Taylor “Planefixer” and his wonderful wife for cooking up the burgers and dogs – in spite of the cold and snow! Jeff was responsible for having Pearce Aircraft Services sponsor our meal! Many thanks to them as well!
Special recognition went to Damien Grihalva, owner of D&C Extreme for his attendance and support. Damien has been very supportive of and it's members by working with Led and Joey in developing great XJ armor products!
The meeting was called to order at 11:10 am.
Administrative business discussed:
• The bank account status for the Chapter: F.E.I.N. number has been obtained, creation of the account still pending. All Chapter Board members still intend to contribute to the account to make the starting balance. *Update* There some liability issues about forming these separate Chapter accounts regarding incorporation. The BOD is working on this issue.
Old Chapter business:
• The proposed sponsored event at Avalanche Ranch is still being researched. Many attendees showed interest in looking at holding this event sometime in March – April ’05.
• Bandimere Speedway Swap Meet event – Tom Houston has made initial contact with them and opened discussions with them about our idea. Details to follow. Plans are to hold this in the Spring ’05.
New Chapter business:
• President Tom Houston discussed his current status as both National President and Colorado Chapter President. He stated he is undecided about holding both offices simultaneously. Pending Tom’s decision, it was agreed that should Tom decide to step down from the Chapter Presidency, then current Vice President Led Lancos would assume the President position as per the Bylaws. *Update* - Tom Houston announced on 11/20/04 that he would be stepping down and that Led Lancos would assume the President position. Led accepted, and the V.P. position may go to election.
• Member Tim Hoffer “Hoss Hoffer” offered the use of his property in Mt. Carmel Utah as a headquarters site for any future event.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:30 p.m.
