As some of you know my step-daughter has been very ill. She spent 2 weeks in the hospitol with no diagnosis. Today she got refered to Emory Medical University to a specialist there. Hopefully they will be able to figure it out. I will keep you guys posted when I can.

Please do, I have been meaning to PM you but have not have time when the thought was in my head, and when I had time blank stare only. Me and mine will keep you and yours in our thoughts and prayers. Call me if you need anything.

You know I am here for ya just give a shout...

i will. i have my hands full alone with the twinns. but it stays on the back of the mind. She is too young too smart to be sick. She has been onthe Deans List at USC Gamec o c ks for the last 3 semesters.

Thanks guys. The preliminary of the test Friday point to Cancer or Leukimia. The Dr. said he believed it was CML? I think that is what the wife told me. And that they had a 90%+ succes rate treating it succesfuly. They are supose to know for sure monday some time. It's very frustrating beign here and not with them. But the twinns need me and she has her aunt and mom. Ty for your thoughts and prayers.

**Dam*** You and your step-daughter hang in there!! Sorry to read this I really hope it's not Cancer or Leukimia. Will be think about you and your family.

Ok, the latest is that she has AML. Acute M***** Leukimia. Cannot remember the mpart of it. She finished her first round of chemo. The wife is looking int an apartment in the area bc they are telling us that she will be there 3 to 6 months. :( I may be heading down for a day or two to take some furniture if she does get an appartment. Caroline has been difficult at best from what I hear. But the Dr.'s say that is normal especially for someone her age. Most likely will have to have a marrow transplant and they are giver her a 80% chance of remision.

I think it's "myelogenous" or something very close. Bad shit anyway. Hope it all works out.

I know how you feel Glenn, but everything will work out. When I was in high school, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and given 6 months to live. Its now been two years and she is doing well. As young as your step daughter is is, Im sure she will recover.

I am keeping a posative attitude. Especially with all the recent breakthroughs in cancer treatment. TY all. We are praying it all comes out ok. THat is right Dano this is it. They alsosaid she had cromosone damge what ever that means...

Acute Myelogenous Leukemia

The major forms of leukemia are divided into four categories. Myelogenous and lymphocytic leukemia each have acute and chronic forms. The terms myelogenous or lymphocytic denote the cell type involved.

Acute leukemia is a rapidly progressing disease that affects mostly cells that are unformed or primitive (not yet fully developed or differentiated). These immature cells cannot carry out their normal functions.

Hey Glen, thanks for the update. My family and I are still praying for you guys. Please let me know if you need anything. I'm just an hour and a half or so from Atlanta.

This is my first post to the site. I have been reading a lot on here, so I really hope things go well for your stepdaughter. My wife's best friend was just diagnosed with basically the same thing and has finished the first round of treatment at Emory. Here is her website if you are interested in reading about it: http://www2.caringbridge.org/ga/connieschofield/
It has some good info. Great site. Hope to be more of a contributor from now on.

Caroline Is three doors down I think. She is in room 610. She is looking for a minister to come pray with them so if you know of one visiting Connie if its not to much to ask, could he go see her too. My wife was telling me about this lady that she meet her dad and we think that is her. WOW! Small world. Welcome aboard you have come across the greatest group of people in the Jeepin world IMHO!

TY BIGWOODY! I might go meet the wife in Aiken at my parents house there this weekend. Other wise I'd be trying to get to Uwharrie! I want to see that buggy you got there!
