Aftermarket guages

I was wondering who is running aftermarket guages in their rigs. I am planning on running a full set of autometers and was wondering if the stock wiring would work with the exception of the actual wire hooking up to the guage itself. I plan on running all elec. guages. Would this work? I DON'T want to run the stock actual guages like most would suggest, planning on a custom dash anyways... thanks, Judd
