axle tube diameter

Anyone know the inside diameter of a d30 axle tube? I have to change the inner seals and want to make a seal remover (like madxj)but need to get the diameter before I start so I can make the tool ahead of time.

You know the new seals you buy will give you a good place to measure exactly how big the old seals are.
Why do you even need the tube diam ? the seals must come out from inside the housing after you remove the carrier assm. .

I wanted to make a tool to do it quick and easy before I tear stuff apart. I don't have much time this weekend and really need to do it quick. The reinstall part is the hard one. I think I have a plan and will borrow a seal driver from my FIL and hopefully get it done in a couple hours between raindrops!

I made the madxj tool with sockets. I had plenty to choose from. The threaded rod,washers, and nut are cheap and available at any local hardwware store. Just make sure you have a good plate, very stiff piece on the outside of the inner knuckle.
