Oil Filter on 2.5L?

I do it from underneath with a oil filter socket wrench then once it is loose will take it off from either above if it's my daughters w/o air or from underneath if it's my sons w/air. My son takes care of his own now but I still keep an eye on my daughter to make sure she gets it tightenend up right and does not crosss thread the oil pan drain plug. Oh, both theirs are TJ's, I've never seen a 2.5L XJ in person....

I got it, it was tough with the A/C there, but once I got my back into it it came off no problem. It was a lot easier going back on! Thanks for your help!

I have a '99 2.5L XJ, w/ A/C.
I use the Fram oil filter with the black grippy stuff at the end, because there is really no room for a tool, only a hand.
I change my oil every 3 months and use only the Fram filter exclusively.
I remove/install the filter from above.

later,
Ronnie
