which front end do i have?

Ok i just swaped in a new frotn end a d30 out of a unknown year. The brakes off my 87 front end dont fit so which would it be the bolts for the calipers on this new rear end are alot smaller and dont use a allien wrench anyone know?

It's probably a post-89 then. The calipers and rotors didn't fit the earlier ones. Is it at least a high-pinion? If it's low-pinion you at least know it's 2000 or 2001...

Yes they changed the brakes in 90 IIRC. Get the BOM number off the axle tube to the left IIRC of the pumpkin and punch it in the dana site. It will give you everything you need to know about the doner axle....
