These were found in 4.0l LWB MJs with the Metric Ton package (my 89 had a small sticker on the back window glass that called it a BIG TON) I'd say 87-90 as I dunno if any of the HO MJs had this option.

My 88 Metric Tonne, just has the markings on the tailgate.

My 86 Metric Ton doesn't have any markings at all, but then it has the AMC-20 not the Dana-44. Almost as good and probably a lot cheaper. (this is *not* the CJ AMC-20, which has the crappy 2-piece axleshafts)
