It just not start when it's hot?

I need some help on my xj 4.HO year 94

My car runs very good in normal driving and in highway,
But whith some roock crawling or some off road abuse
It just got near 210º and shutdown,
It dont start again for 10 to 15 minutes, after some cooling it start again

I pressed the valve on the fuel rail and got a good strong squirt.
I do a spark plug chech and sometimes have fire and other times dont
I towed it and it starts and runs for a while

I’am from Azores, Portugal and have my english rusty, so i’am sorry if it is bad english.

Tank’s if you can help me.

i see you have a 94, but back in 1991 they had problems with the coils for that problem. i would almost bet that is the problem, but it can also be a crank sensor. if it is the crank sensor you should have the code stored "no crank referance signal at pcm". if not it is probably the coil. at this point though it cant hurt to replace both.

The stock crank position sensor fails far more commonly than the coil so I'd replace that first. If the problem remains, then replace the coil with either another OEM unit or an MSD 8228 Blaster coil.

Tank´s guys for the help, but before this messages
i put a pathfinder II computer turned on my jeep and no error codes
i will try the solucions that you gave me
and try to resolve the problem
