axle identification

I guess this is already done but I cannot find it.

I am looking for ways to identify the rear Dana axles under XJs.

Are there tags, markings, stamps, or characteristic that allow for ID.

My goal is to go thte the wrecking yard and find a D44 for my xj. I do not have much faith in the honesty of my area Junk yard staff.

Sorry, Thsi was supposed to go under the OEM list.
