bench seats.....

I'm not sure about the bolt pattern for the two styles, but there are several other things to consider.
1. you must also get the e-brake pedal and linkage from the mj, and must mount it below the dash because the old handle would be covered by the bench.
2. if you have a full console, that will have to be replaced by a mini-console (found in most mjs and few xjs).
I guess that's it. I haven't looked at the bolts on an mj bench but i would guess they're the same or similar.

Nope, the seat pedestals are not the same. You put XJ buckets into an MJ by using the MJ pedestals, so you would put an MJ bench into an XJ by using the XJ pedestals.
