Front D30 axle shaft question

I have a 1999 XJ and I ended up getting some spare axle shafts out of a 1995 XJ. I noticed, however, the u-joints are smaller on the 1995. My question is this, will the shafts from the 1995 still work in the 1999 D30 axle even though the u-joints are different? These are only spares and would be a temporary fix to get me back home. Any help would be appreciated.

yea they will work, the u-joint is a x-260 instead of the x-297 that you have they are just a little weaker (only differance)
