AC to OBA

If your truck had AC and it stopped working and you wanted to convert it to OBA is there any jumper or wire that needs to go to ground for the computer or climate system once the AC is no longer AC?

maybe a stupid question but a question none the less
Thanks Fletch

The a/c pump grounds through it's mounting bracket. There isn't a wire for grounding. All wires exiting the unit are switched 12v. These wires are what you run your pressure switch to.

There is only 1 wire on the pump that you should be worried about, it's the wire from behind the clutch/pulley on the front of the pump. This is the trigger wire for activating the clutch. As Okie said, you will trigger this wire with a presure switch, and the right way is to use the pressure switch to trigger a relay that will in turn trigger the clutch.

Another side note, if the high pressure switch from your a/c system isn't bypassed your elec. fan wont come on when you use the dash contols. If you typically use this to force the fan on when the motor starts getting hot, it wont work unless you tie these 2 wires together.
