Odometer seems to be fine and accurate. Speedo however...

GOOFY. Goes backward, forward, spins, never right however. Is it the gauge, cable, speedo gear, sensor??? With odo being correct that should narrow the field?? OR do I assume too much?

Vehicle Speed Sensor, on the output of the t-case. It's either bad or has a bad connection, and will do things like indicate you are at Mach 3 through school zones or 5mph on the freeway. Mine croaked on me while I was in Cruise at 75mph, and I rapidly lost speed while in front of a semi...had to change the shorts after that one.
