Bright ideas

Hi I have a '88 cherokee and I'm in the middle of doing a BB on it and I need to remove my shackles from the vehicle. I have a hidden hitch and looked at it today and can't figure out how to get the shackles off. I think there might me a trick or I was way to tired when I looked at it. If anybody could help that would be great. Oh and I was also needing to know an easy way to take of the stock fender flares.

If you are talking about the lower bolt on the shackle, than just take the upper bolt out first and then jack up the car while letting the axle sag. The whole shackle (still attached to the spring) should come out of its mount (might need help to come out). Once it is far enough down, you can take the other bolt out.
