Hey all,
My 88 XJ (4.0) is showing oil pressure pinned on the high end. The needle reads at about 3 o'clock, well past the 80 psi mark. It used to do this spontaneously for a short amount of time but now it reads high all the time. There doesn't seem to be any noticeable change in how the engine is running. What are the possible causes for this? I've heard it could be the Oil Pressure Sending Unit failing; are there any other possible causes?
