yeah except with the price on that thing, you might as well flip a D300 (which I believe would be even shorter).

Novak has something similar, it's not out yet according to their site.

The JB kit looks like it's $50 more than the regular kit, unless I'm reading it wrong.

hmmm... it does appear as though a complete case is only $50 more with the super short vs. the regular SYE. Not that bad... This was posted on the Pirates board a while back before pricing was out and one guy was told by JB that it would be significantly more.

I still stick with my D300 opinion though, shorter than an Atlas and that 231, gear driven, pretty cheap, and you can flip it yourself for $20 worth of materials, go search Pirate for more info on that. It requires a little fab work, but an $1100 t-case would be about %50 of what I already have invested in my truck (including initial purchase).
