What should it cost?

Well, I have not paid to have this done, but here is my thinking:

labor cost to remove and install 2 balljoints on same side: 3 hours labor @ $65/hour = $195
material cost for 2 ball joints (with markup): $125
labor to align front end: $50
misc. shop charges: $50

Total bill: $410

Since my estimating may be grossly off, figure anywhere from $350 to $500 for one side.

In the stack of reciepts that came with mine are 2 from Pep boys showing $285 for one side and $320 for the other side a few months later... and this was in NYC.
HTH,
Mike B.

Thanks, I'm up in New Hampshire and am hoping to find someone to do it for $200 to $250 but needed some numbers to make sure whatever I do get quoted was in the ballpark. I never have anybody do the work on my Jeep so I don't have a feel for what it should cost.
