gears on a Ford 8.8

I want to do a ford 8.8 conversion. I was wondering if all the carriers are the same or do you have to change them to gear down. Thanks.

The 8.8 can be found with 4.10's stock. Beware of the 8.8 have the tubes welded to the housing. It has a nasty habbit of spinning the tubes.....

i want to run 4.56s.

I swapped 3.73s for 4.88s in mine.

Ford has always stayed away from carrier breaks in it's corporate axles.

my 8.8 had 3.07 when I got it and 4.56 went in with out problems
