Hi all;
What do you use to flush your cooling system for mineral deposits? I did a bit of search and came up with the following that are not typical products on auto part store shelves.

Lestoil
Lime-A-Way
Citric acid
White distilled vinegar
CLR (Calcium, Lime, Rust) Remover

Looking forward to some good recommendations here.
Thanks … Maz

i use PRESTONE coolant system flush.

it comes in a small bottle that you pour in after your initial drain.
you mix water with it and run the engine for awhile with the heat on (to flush heater core) and then rise twice and then fill up.

I use the Prestone SLOW flush. It's a larger bottle, but it should be a little easier on the cooling system by not breaking up the stuff so quickly.

1. Drain
2. Add cleaner, fillw ith water
3. Drive 6-8 hours
4. Drain / flush 2x with water
5. Add coolant / fresh water
6. Drink a beer :D

Only additon to the prestone slow flush is use distilled water when you make up your 50/50 mix, not tap water or garden hose water.
