Before you ask, I grew up wheeling with manual transmissions and prefer them over automatics.
Has anyone converted from their stock AW-4 tranny to a manual AX-15 5-speed? I am considering replacing my 4-sp auto with an AX-15 or other manual transmission. What are the non-obvious considerations (ECU change, clutch linkage, pedal, etc.?). Is this an impossible mission that's not worth the effort? I'm open to whatever type of manual tranny is best for my 4.0L. Thanks.
