Trimming with BPI front bumper

96XJCLASSIC

NAXJA Forum User
I am thinking about buying BFI's front nonwinch bumper for my 96. How much trimming of the fender and fender flares is required? Are there any installs floating around out there for this bumper. Also, How much does this bumper weigh, how much height should i expect to lose? Thanks NICK

Deja Vu! (I just answered this on JU) But I'll say my .02 here as well... The bumper weighs 53lbs - stock bumper (newer style) weighs about 30-35lbs. You won't lose more than a tiny tiny amount in height.

All you need to do is trim the fender and flare so that it is level with the bottom of your marker lights. Also you will need to relocate the Vacuum canister to the fender support.
