I was installing a new set of Rusty's Tow hooks on my 1995 XJ this past weekend. In the process, the vacuum deal on the inside of the bumper got "unplugged." It remained that way for several minutes before I put the hose back into the vacuum body. My question is, what damage have I done to my xj? and if I have messed it up, what can I do to fix it?

Thanks

No damage - you weren't trying to drive it at the time and even then wouldn't have had any real problems except that your cruise control and heater vent selectors wouldn't work

Uhhh-Ohhh...

Did it go "hisssss" when it got unplugged?? If so you are screwed...here is what you need to do.

1. Crawl under the front bumper
2. Unplug hose from resevoir again
3. Cover the nipple with you mouth
4. Suck really hard for 3 to 5 miniutes.
5. Get seen doing this, and watch anyone you know lose all respect for you.

Just kidding...plug it back in and dont fret it.
