Trying to troubleshoot my XJ 98 that a while now is takes forever to shift. Second gear is quite ok but over that I have to let go of the gas to get it to shift or have to go way past 3K RPM before shifting.
Runs fine otherwise while in gear, no downshifting.
I've adjusted the Throttle valve cable but didn't do any difference.
Changed the oil quite recently.
Worth to change the TPS?
