Fender flare project

Hey guys. I recently decided to take my fender flares off and apply bed liner. I used duplicolor after having sanded them the best I could. Still there was some paint left over but I'm hoping this will not be a problem. My question is two things.. is duplicolor bed liner OK to use and will it turn out alright if I cannot get all the old paint off?

As long as the surface is roughed up with coarse sand paper, I'm sure it'll stick just fine. Are you using the roll on or spray version?

I'm using the spray application method. I can't afford to get the good stuff and every time she gets washed I'm slinging dust all over her :-/

I have some of the spray on my Jeep and it works pretty well. It won't hold up to scraping and abuse as well as the thicker, roll-on version, but touch-ups are super easy. Overall, I think you'll be just fine.
