rear coil conversion question

Can you do a 3 or 3.5 inch lift and do a rear coil set up? Clayton suspension says you have to have a 6.5 inch lift. Has anyone done a smaller lift with this?
 
The problem is that the rear coil they use is like a 3 inch coil to net 6.5 inches of lift or something like that
 
The big issue is the upper bars will hit the floor. I'm doing the Clayton kit but I wanna stay at 4-5 inches of lift. I may just let the bars self clearance themselves lol.
 
I'm at 5.5 with the clayton crossmember, built my own arms and notched the floor
 
And at 3" your gonna have a very short coil in the rear
