Gas pedal not releasing?

94 4.0, aw4

So took off my throttle body spacer for smog since I can't find my carb sticker. Upon starting it was stuck in high idle. Shut it off and realized the pedal was not depressing, as if it was stuck floored. Suggestions?

Check the linkage at the throttle body, check the cable, check the pedal pivot, not much else to the system.

Put the spacer back on, seems fine now. I'll have to adjust something once I remove it.

Just a quick one...you did also remove the spacers under the cable bracket...right?

You just earned a huge thank you. I just did a quick look an didn't notice those spacers the first time. Quick jaunt to the local bolt store to find replacement stock length hardware and smog passed.
