O2 code/poor idle after getting wet

Hey everybody
Wanted to get some opinions here. I don't know if I've ever replaced my O2 sensor or not. But either way it is likely 6 or 7 years old. Lately when doing stream crossings or other water fording it has been acting up. Pretty much throws an O2 code Everytime and starts running poorly. Let a couple weeks go by and it starts running fine again.
I'm not talking about diving into water over the hood here. Typically just up the bottom of the door sill. I usually avoid it if possible but some trails just have river crossings.
Can I seal it better or is it time for a new one

Typical O2 sensor service life is about 100 - 150,000 miles. They are a routine maintenance part.

Inspect the sensor wire harnesses for damage and/or chafed wire insulation. Wrap the connectors with some electrical tape to keep out any water.
