So, I've just lucked into a free Comanche that needs a motor.
It's an 89 2.5, 2wd with a manual transmission. 2 cylinders are dead and it's been sitting for a while. I'm not concerned with the mechanics and logistics of a motor swap, but I'm not exactly sure where to start looking for a replacement motor.
What are my options for donor vehicles? Is there any difference in the motor from Cherokees, Comanches, or Wranglers? I'm not interested in a 4.0l swap, I want to use this as a cheap daily driver. Thanks!
