DIY winch tutorials?

anyone have a link, my trusty Warn M 8000 brake is frozen/stuck in the drum. 250 bucks in parts to fix plus a couple hours labor. Anyone have a good tutorial or place to work on them?? ps only paid 200 bucks for it 4 years ago and then replaced the control solenoids.

Not sure what you will find in turotials.
The winch comes apart easily. Start on the Planetary end (The side with the lever), lay it all out as you dissasemble it.

I don't remember a mechanical "Brake" per se, but then, it probably wasn't something I was looking for when I tore mine down to grease it.

There is a Brake inside the drum.

Yup need to know if it is a press fit or how to get a jammed one out.
