I'm in the middle of replacing the heater core on my '99 XJ. When I removed the heater core from the blower box, a small plastic part came out with the core and fell on the table. I cannot figure out for the life of me where this thing goes back. It doesn't show up in any parts fiche or in the FSM, either.
Can anyone identify this thing and tell me where it goes?
About 4" long for scale...
