I have a '90 XJ and notice that the radio screen blinks in time with the signal lights. I replaced the ground strap from the engine block to the body with a similar braided version and while I was in there, I cleaned the contacts so I know that they are good.
The only two variables are the +12V line to the radio or that ground strap is insufficient. Strange thing is that everything works ok but the blinking is odd so I wanted to check to see if this was normal on an XJ.
Anyone else seeing this? If this is common, it would lead me to believe that it is insufficient power coming into the fuse box. If it is not, I guess I will have to change out that ground strap.
