looking into ordering the ironrock long arm in 4" and I was wondering if anyone knows if their crossmember will allow the dirtbound xfer case skid to still work?

It doesn't look like they will interfere with each other but I figured someone on here would know for sure?
 
No clue if it'll interfere with the skid but I do know it will fold in half. :)

I'm sure it would have helped if the outer section of cross member would have been welded to the stiffeners. I fail to see how it would have helped if it were still only bolted.
 
Even welding to the frame or stiffeners wouldn't do much, unless the stiffeners were sufficient to resist a lot of torsion.

The cross member failed in compression because it has no real support along the inner edge in response to applied force from below. I'm guessing it was jacked there, or high-centered on the cross member?

It just wasn't designed well.
