Under dash wiring clean up, what is this?

So I tore my dash out, and found this thing, not sure what it is since the only good dash removal write up I found the guys jeep didn't seem to have this thing, it seems to have a pin about 1/6 thick that goes into the plastic. Any ideas? I'm thinking its something related to the keyles entry stuff but. I'm not sure.

Oops Laredo* also I found out what it is, its a "Fin sensing cycling clutch switch"

If I understand correctly. Its like a temp switch that tells the air conditioning clutch to turn on and off when needed.

Yes, that is the temp sensor for the A/C system. IIRC it feeds the ECU, but is only used for A/C stuff. If your AC is getting torn out, take it out and forget about it.
