Driver power window not working

Greetings. I have a 99 xj. The power window has come loose from the piece that goes up and down on a rail. I looked in there today and saw that the pusher working because I could see a short piece of wire/ linkage going up and down. Anyone know how I can re-attach this? Thanks, mike

Not sure what parts you are describing. Try this website ( http://www.steigerperformance.com/dif.cgi?SP13001 ) and find the Jeep repair parts, or you can buy a new or good used window regulator assembly.

There are 2 screws that hold the window to the bracket. It's possible but highly unlikely they have unscrewed themselves.

More than likely the bracket has broken off of the spring/actuator. It's somewhat common on these year XJ's.

I would first look for the screws in the bottom of the door. If you can't find them, you will have to remove the window regulator.

There is a fix for the broken bracket, though I have never tried it.
