howto replace manual door lock cylinder?

%he pas side front door lock on my 96 is siezed and won't turn. <eeds to be replaced and rekeyed I guess.
I've searched and can't find a how to on replacin them. önna go to the JY and get a new lock but would like to know how to properly pull it and put it in my XJ. Don't want to break anything. Anyone have any sage wisdom to share about this little project?

not hard
remove the door panel
disconnect the rod
remove the retainer clip and it will almost fall out of the door.

If you have a REAL locksmith in your town they can strip, clean/repair that lock USUALLY for less than some made-in-a-third-world-country POS.

That way you won't have to re-key or carry two door keys.
