hydroboost

There is a guy selling a dodge hydrobooster from a 3/4 ton pickup in my area for cheap. Can I make that work with my jeep?! I don't know anything about braking systems, but my booster/master cylinder is a bit in the way right now so I'm looking at my options. Would the whole assembly (master cylinder and booster) output "too much" for my current braking system? I've got a 99 fwiw.

If you have stock brakes, yes, it would be too much power and you'd end up with a rock hard pedal.

Why would the pedal be hard? I just thought it might blow something up...

What are you gunna run for a PS pump to use with the hydroboost?

I have no idea. Could rig up the factory pump from the cummins that the hydrobooster would come from. That pump should be able to keep up with lower engine speeds.

You shouldn't blow anything up. And the pedal feel is determined from MC bore size to caliper bore size. If you use a larger MC, then yes the pedal will be much harder. But with more assist from the hydroboost, could be negligible. I have no idea.

I'm using a Superduty hydroboost unit with F350 breaks up front and E350 breaks out back. Stops 40" tires with ease.
