Shifting 242 T-Case.

I have a 99' XJ with a NP242 transfer case. Since I've owned the jeep it's never shifted into 4Lo. I thought the linkage was the problem so I cut it all out.

Remade a shifter to flip the paddle over the TCase instead of how it used to be under it. I'm going to weld a piece of metal off the paddle that comes off the actual lever and then use a piece of threaded rod with heim joints on each side.

I'm going to make sure the threaded rod is level.

Anyways I want to make sure the TCase itself doesn't have a problem. Should I be able to pull the TCase into 4lo by putting a wrench on the shifter and pulling it all the way down? Would I need my tranny in neural for this or what?

I think my 4x4 sensor is shot as well because the lights are never right.
