not really answering your question... but most people simply bolt them onto the leafs and put the weight of the jeep on the axle (taking precautions obviously) in order to dial in the pinion angle.
Normally I would do that. But I won't have a drive shaft built yet because of different size u joints so it won't be built. And second I won't have a 220 any longer when the axle goes in. So I need to weld it on now, and will just run shims. Always ran shims and never had a problem.
Not really because of the double cardan. You can't really get a exact measurement. I have no problems running shims. I always have. I have a shop that custom makes them. For cheap to. I just need the measurement.
