Heater core questions

On the 92 Xj I am getting with a 4.0 has a bad heater core. I told him I would put it in but I haven't done it in a keep before. I can do them in my Bronco all day long cause I dont have to pull the dash, only the glove box. How much work am I looking at and about how much time does it take? A shop told me 8 to 10 hours because they are a pain to do.

Depends...on a 97+ you literally have to pull the whole dash out. Thus the 8-10 hrs

I think (not completely sure) but a 92 should be an easier day.

FSM says you need to pull the AC evaporator. There is a picture how to thread around that showed a way to avoid that, but there are differences over the years.

Ok ya I will look around and see what I can find out about that. If anything I will just go to Harbor Freight and buy a 20 dollar cig plug in heater to get me by lol.
