9 MNTHS AFTER NEW ENGINE INSTALLED(RAN GREAT WHEN INSTALLED)
ELECTRICAL PROBLEM IN ENGINE WIRING HARNESS?

ALL NEW 5/25/2012
FUEL PUMP - INJECTORS - FLYWHEEL - CRANK POSITION SENSOR
DISTRIBUTER- COIL WIRES and SPARK PLUGS- PCM,BRAIN (DEALERSHIP)
2 OXYGEN SENSORS- MAP SENSOR- THROTTLE BODY SENSOR- AIR TEMP SENSOR
VACUUM CHECK - GOOD COMPRESSION CHECK 151.LBS EACH CYLINDER

SYMPTOM FOR 3 MNTHS.
DOES NOT START FIRST 3 TIMES TRYING TO START AND OR IF IT DOES IT
HAS MISS SO BAD YOU MUST SHUT OFF KEY BUT THE 4TH. TIME STARTING
IT IS DRIVABLE WITH SMALL MISS.
PUT TIMING LIGHT ONTO ANY PLUG WIRE- SEE TIMING LIGHT SKIP A BEAT.

LAST MECHANIC--
NO CRANK PO320 PCM IGNITION DIST SPEED
PO700 743 TRANSMISSION/TORGUE CONVERTER
P1391 CAM/CRANK SIGNAL INTERMITTANT LOSS OF CMP OR CKP

QUESTION,
WHAT WIRE IN ENGINE CHASSIS WIRING NEEDS CHECKED TO CAUSE MISS.
 
sounds like you might have a bad pickup in the distributor to me, was it replaced with the distributor when it was swapped out or did they re-use the old one? it is called a pickup coil or a stator, depending on who you ask. it's under the rotor inside the distributor.
 
yes,the new distributer came with cam sensor (pick up coil).I was woundering if something in the way of cam timing slippage somewhere ,but not probabaly the chain as they dont stretch?
