ZJ XJ gear box

I know they're the same part number but is there a difference on how they mount? I tore up the splines on my xj so figured kill 2 birds with one stone and get a ZJ with the pitman arm. I'm getting it used btw from a buddy. It's a 93 ZJ going on a 98. Thanks

I have a ZJ box in my 88 XJ A1 CARDONE Part #277570 Fits JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE (1996 - 1998)

Works great been in there 6 yrs

Thanks man I was second guessing myself. I hate to battle those 3 bolts and find out it wont fit

No problem. I should also mention that it "feels" better then the stock box

Also using a "ZJ" gear box, because it was a lot cheaper than the "XJ" box for my year. Externally, the box I got was identical to my OEM box, without the hideous play and wandering.
