Adding shims

Cottontail

When I add shims to my rear axle to fix the driveline angles do I need to get a longer leaf spring center bolt that will go through the shims and seat in the perch on the axle?

i would. you have to take it off anyway. dont reuse the bolt, spend $2 for piece of mind.

spring shop should have them. i got mine from fastenal. black oxidized cap screws or what ever they are. google it, there is a lot of info about what to use.

That is applicable and sound advise for the u-bolts, but I am talking about the center bolt.
