the cell foam is made not break down when using any octane fuel. i ran a cell with foam in my race car back when i use to like going fast. i never had any issues

It may be designed 'not to break down', but that has ended more desert races for people than just about any other mechanical failure.. do a search on race dezert if you dont beleive me.
Apparently, its the cheap stuff, and/or pump gas that tends to break it down, get a good pre filter.
