Swivel shackles Pro and cons

I'm looking to extract some more flex and drop out of my rear RE 4.5" leafs and shackles.
I'm considering on fabricating a set of swivel shackles like these here...

What are the drawbacks of having swivel shackles?

Thats some pretty scary stuff !! Without a rear tracbar I would say its dangerous!

of the top of my head... PROS would be it would give you a bit more flex and take off some of the stress on the leaves, which is caused by twisting. CONS most likely would be a scary ride (if ya know what I mean;)).


to gain a LITTLE bit of flex off road at the cost of an uncontrolable rear side2side wobble in my mind, is not worth it. If this is going under a daily driver, I would seriously think of doing something else, a weekend beater you can slide.
