weird throttle problem

96 cherokee, 4.0 high output, aw-4 auto


alright ........ its kinda weird when i push the throttle down to the floor it feels gutless until i let off a tad and then the power comes back and it is a very noticeable difference.

Another thing might be related or it might not but occasionally while cruising down the road it will spit and sputter

no check engine lights or anything ..... please help

When was the last time you check fuel filter,air filter,plugs,wires,cap and rotor?Major tune-up

I just recently did plugs, wires, cap, and rotor but it has probly been a year since i put a new fuel filter in it

Air cleaner?
Sonds like it is flooding itself out at full throttle.Pull a plug and check it for color.Could be the o2 is going bad or out.
