I know i want to paint my MJ project a middle shade of blue. With the multitudes of manufacturers and shades how do you decide on one? especially if looking at them online. how can i tell what i like. BTW, this will be the first paint job ive tackled myself.

Unless you want a custom color, probably the simplest way to pick a color is to find a car painted a color you like, get the year and model, and have a dealership give you a paint code. Any paint supplier can match it.
As far as custom mix goes, get a sample. Don't rely on a computer screen. The screen won't display the color correctly.
